Privacy Policy

PepTrack is built privacy-first. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

Your saved health records — peptide names, doses, weights, symptoms, notes, photos, schedules, and injection sites — are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted through our analytics system. If you deliberately start PepTrack Voice, the audio and words from that live conversation are processed as described below.
If you turn on iCloud sync, that data is stored in your own private Apple iCloud account — not on PepTrack servers.
We collect a small set of anonymous product-usage events (like "app opened") so we can improve the app. These never contain health information or your identity.
We do not require an account to use the app.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Information you enter

PepTrack lets you record information such as injections, sites, schedules, calculator inputs, weight, and notes. This information is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. If you enable iCloud sync, it is synchronized through your personal iCloud account so it is available across your own devices. These health-related values are not transmitted through our analytics system.

PepTrack Voice

PepTrack Voice is optional and starts only when you tap to begin a live conversation. While it is active, microphone audio and the words in the conversation are sent directly to OpenAI's Realtime API so the assistant can respond and prepare a proposed tracking entry. Our Supabase voice service verifies your genuine app installation and issues a short-lived connection credential; it does not receive or store your audio, transcript, or saved tracking records.

OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models unless the API customer explicitly opts in. Standard Realtime API requests may be retained in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days. A proposed entry is saved locally only after you review it and tap “Yes, Save.” Ending the conversation stops microphone transmission.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand which features matter and improve the app, PepTrack collects limited anonymous product-usage events. Each event is restricted to a fixed set of fields:

a random anonymous installation ID (generated on your device; not tied to your name, email, Apple ID, or device serial)
the event name (for example, "app_opened" or "paywall_viewed")
a timestamp
the app version and platform
campaign or source attribution, if you arrived through a marketing link
the subscription product identifier, when the event relates to a subscription

The analytics system does not collect names, emails, peptide names, dose values, weight values, symptoms, notes, photos, injection sites, or any free-form health content — the event format has no field that could carry them. Analytics events are received and stored using Supabase, our backend infrastructure provider. If you delete and reinstall the app, a new random installation ID is created; the old one is not reconnected to you.

Retention: we intend to retain anonymous analytics events for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted or reduced to aggregate statistics.

Deletion requests: you may request deletion of analytics records by emailing us. Because events are keyed only by a random installation ID, we usually cannot connect them to you as a person — locating your records may require the installation ID or other technical details from your device, and the app does not currently display this ID. Where we cannot identify your records, we cannot selectively delete them; they remain anonymous and age out under the retention period above.

Opting out: you can turn analytics off at any time in the app, under Profile → Privacy Dashboard → “Share anonymous usage data”. Turning it off stops collection immediately and deletes the installation ID from your device; turning it back on starts a new one, so earlier events cannot be reconnected to you. Deleting the app also ends all collection.

Apple Health

With your explicit permission, PepTrack can read weight, body fat, and BMI from Apple Health to display your trends, and can write manually logged weight back to Apple Health. This data is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy protections and is never used for advertising or sold. You can revoke Health permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Subscriptions

PepTrack offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Subscription status is managed via Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) using an anonymous identifier; this is used only to unlock premium features, not to identify you personally. RevenueCat also sends subscription lifecycle events (for example, a renewal or cancellation) to our analytics backend, tagged with the same anonymous installation ID and product identifier — never with your name, email, or payment details.

Analytics & diagnostics

PepTrack does not collect your personal tracking data for analytics, and the app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. The only analytics we receive are the first-party anonymous usage events described above, plus aggregate, anonymized statistics Apple may provide through standard App Store reporting. None of it is used for third-party advertising or cross-company tracking.

Children

PepTrack is not directed to children and is intended for adults.

Your control

You can delete your on-device data at any time by removing entries in the app or deleting the app, and you can disable iCloud sync or Apple Health access in iOS Settings. Deleting the app also stops all analytics collection. For anonymous analytics records already collected, see the deletion-request process above.
